3rd ECOMOF EDITION IN FEBRUARY 2022!

 

The ECOWAS Commission and the Government of the Republic of Niger, the organisers of the 3rd ECOMOF, have informed us of their decision, for internal reasons, to postpone the 3rd edition of the ECOWAS Mining & Petroleum Forum to the 16 – 18 February 2022. The event will take place in Mahatma Gandhi Conference Centre, in Niamey, Republic of Niger and is under the high patronage of His Excellency Mister the President of the Republic of Niger.

ECOMOF is the gathering of the highest-ranking government delegations from the fifteen ECOWAS West African Member States which includes: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.

This regional mining and petroleum forum and exhibition featurew the key public and private sector decision-makers in the West African mining and petroleum industries. ECOMOF is an initiative of the ECOWAS Commission who, on 8th October 2010 at the meeting of ECOWAS Ministers responsible for Mineral Resources Development, in Monrovia, Liberia, recommended that a regional mining and petroleum forum was required as part of the activities to promote and develop the mining and oil potentials of Member States.
