MAHATMA GANDHI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE, NIAMEY

The calabash-shaped center is spacious and equipped with the latest generation and ultra-modern equipment. It covers more than 5 hectares, with a total built area of ​​over 16,000 m2. It commands admiration for its finesse and modern conveniences in an increasingly demanding industry. In addition to its calabash shape, the architectural plan draws its originality from the Niger River. The color of its facade is reminiscent of the famous saltworks of Tiguidan N’Tessoumt in Niger, the Freedom Tower is reminiscent of the Agadez mosque, the canopies surrounding the different blocks of the structure were designed using the baobab tree as a model, thus giving the impression that the Center is surrounded by baobabs which refer to the idea of ​​robustness and grandeur in Africa.
